Mike Del Pero has over ten years of investment banking experience providing financial advisory services to privately held middle market companies and publicly held corporations both in the U.S. and internationally. During his career he has closed over 20 merger & acquisition and financing transactions aggregating over $600 million in transaction value and liquidity for clients. He has also served as the lead advisor in leveraged and management buyouts, capital raising and financings, business valuations, strategic reviews, and distressed situations.

Mr. Del Pero has particular expertise advising companies in specialized industries such as plastics, composites, advanced materials, aerospace and defense, alternative energy, automotive, industrial and consumer products, where technical expertise and sophisticated manufacturing processes are required. He is regarded as a leading financial authority within the engineered products and advanced materials industry. Mr. Del Pero is a regular contributing source for widely followed industry publications such as PlasticsNews, Modern Plastics Worldwide, Reinforced Plastics Magazine, High Performance Composites, and Composites Technology. He has also been a featured presenter at numerous industry events including the American Composites Manufacturing Association’s (ACMA) annual COMPOSITES Show, the annual Carbon Fiber Conference and is the resident conference chair for the annual CompositesWorld Investment Forum.

Prior to joining FocalPoint, Mr. Del Pero built and led the Plastics and Advanced Materials group at McGladrey Capital Markets LLC, a Southern California-based middle market investment bank. In this capacity, he played a prominent role in advising on transactions involving debt and equity placements for buyouts as well as M&A transactions. During his tenure with McGladrey, he also held senior roles within the firm’s related Aerospace & Defense and Industrial Manufacturing coverage group.

Mr. Del Pero holds a bachelor's degree in Economic Sociology with a specialization in Finance and Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.  He holds FINRA series 7, 63, 65, and 79 licenses.
