Brian Little is a Senior Vice President at FocalPoint Partners, and has over ten years of experience advising middle-market corporations on debt and equity capital raises, mergers and acquisitions, and financial restructurings. Mr. Little has also worked at U.S. Bank and Union Bank of California, serving both institutions as a Commercial Loan Officer within the greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Little joined Union Bank in 2001, where he went through the bank’s credit training program. Over the next six years, he initiated, underwrote and managed credit facilities across a broad range of industries.
Since joining FocalPoint in 2007, Mr. Little has assisted in closing numerous transactions in the US middle-market. Recent transactions he has completed include: the sale of Fuddruckers (fast-casual restaurant with over 200 corporate and franchise locations) to Luby’s, Inc. (NYSE: LUB) via a §363 sale; the sale of Apothecary Shops (specialty pharmacy in the western U.S.) to Riordan, Lewis & Haden; advisory to the Special Assets Group within Wells Fargo & Co. on select portfolio companies; advisory to the Official Committee of the Unsecured Creditors in the LandSource Communities Development bankruptcy; a dividend recapitalization of Resolution Economics (litigation consulting and expert witness testimony) funded by Praesidian Capital; a capital raise for the management buyout of Ketchum Directory Association, a divestiture of the media conglomerate Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMG); the sale of Care Level Management (home healthcare provider) to Inspiris, a portfolio company of Pacific Venture Group; and advisory to Shoe Pavilion (NYSE: SHOE) throughout its Chapter 11 proceedings. Mr. Little’s relationships include domestic and international private equity groups and numerous capital providers ranging from banks to hedge funds.
Mr. Little graduated with a business degree from the University of Southern California in 2001. He later returned to USC and received his MBA with an emphasis in Corporate Finance from the Marshall School of Business in 2007. Mr. Little possesses Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses and passed the Level 1 CFA exam in June 2010; he will sit for the Level 2 CFA exam in June 2011.
