FocalPoint Client Named LA E&Y Entrepreneur Of The Year
Los Angeles, CA — Ernst & Young LLP announced the winners of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2006 award in Greater Los Angeles. This year’s award winners were recognized at a special 20th anniversary gala event at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. All of the award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges composed of area leaders from business, academic and civic organizations.
FocalPoint client, Steven Foster, founder and CEO of Lucky Strike Entertainment was named 2006 Media & Entertainment Entrepreneur Of The Year for Greater Los Angeles by Ernst & Young. Lucky Strike Entertainment owns and operates the leading bowling, entertainment and casual dining chain in the United States and Canada. Steven and Gillian Foster, together with Kevin Troy, created Lucky Strike by marrying the proven pastime of bowling with upscale food and beverage, a dramatic audio/video environment, and a cozy ambiance. The result is a nationally acclaimed entertainment facility that is at once sophisticated, relaxed and socially interactive.
FocalPoint has been engaged by Lucky Strike Entertainment to raise growth capital for the company. “While Lucky Strike has experienced tremendous success from its first location in Hollywood to its 11 locations currently, our capital structure needed to be addressed in order to facilitate our future growth objectives,” said Foster. Greater Los Angeles award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 18, 2006. The overall national Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient is then considered for the world event held in Monte Carlo.
