FocalPoint Partners’ Duane K. Stullich Discusses Capitalizing And Growing A Successful Start-Up

FocalPoint Partners LLC Managing Director Delivers Keynote Address To Central Coast MIT Enterprise Forum and Central Coast Venture Forum in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara, California (March 2004) — Duane K. Stullich, Managing Director, Focal Point Partners LLC, detailed a winning business plan for emerging companies during his keynote address here this evening for a special program entitled “Growing And Harvesting A Startup: Strategies For Success From Capitalization To Liquidity.”

Mr. Stullich’s wide-ranging presentation covered such topics as “Entrepreneurship and the Economy” and “Selling Your Company.” He used as illustration case studies of recent transactions: Senior Debt Placement in regard to the financing of La Brea Bakery’s expansion, and Sale Transaction via Pierre Fabre SA’s divestiture of Physician’s Formula to Summit Partners.

In addition, Mr. Stullich reviewed and elaborated upon the popular “Ten Commandments For Success” as developed in Entrepreneuring Magazine by Steven C. Brandt.

The event — sponsored by the Central Coast MIT Enterprise Forum and the Central Coast Venture Forum — showcased the region’s leading entrepreneurs and emerging-growth companies to venture capitalists and angel investors.
